Default Zombieland RULED

Zombieland fucking ruled. It's one of my all time favorite movies and that's not something I hand out like I hand out ciggarettes to the broke jokers I work with.

Woody Harrelson - Fantastic. Heroic. An amazing performance that leaves you wishing it was all real and he was your partner. "Nut up or shut up" - I'm getting that tattooed on me somewhere.

There are so many awesome parts in the movie that I have alot of trouble deciding which is my favorite.

<SPOILER WARNING>

My favorite part would have to be when Tallahasse (spelling?) and Columbus go into the supermarket together, and Tally plays a banjo to lure the zombies out, then clubs it death with the banjo.

Zombieland is not scary, practically at all throughout the movie. There's no screeching violins or shit popping out at you to startle you. It's not even really a zombie movie, because it isn't survivial horror. In fact, it's more like survival fantasy. The very few humans that are still alive in zombieland are still alive because they kick ass at fighting zombies (especially Tallahassee, played by Woody Harrelson).

You know how in typical zombie movies, the survivors are idiots and often fall victim to the zombies because of their stupidity? Not in Zombieland. All of the main characters are smart and well adapted to a world populated by dead cannibals. Fans of zombie movies will really appreciate Columbus' list of rules to surviving. Rule #1 is "cardio" (fat people were the first to fall victim to the zombies), rule #2 is "double tap" (make sure the zombie is dead, every time).

There's actually a great portion of the movie where there are no zombies at all, but the characters are so likeable and the plot is so funny that you don't care. Besides, it all climaxes with a shit ton of zombies so it makes up for the dry stretch.

</SPOILER WARNING>

I suggest anyone who likes zombie movies go and see zombieland. If you're a raging zombie fan (like myself), then go see it NOW! You'll love it, I promise.

"For Whom the Bell Tolls" plays during the credits, just to give you an idea of how fucking epic this movie is. I don't think any zombie movie could ever top the perfection of 2004 Dawn of the Dead, but Zombieland gives it a damn good fight. Like, a guida-sanchez-ass fight.

Go see Zombieland.
