'Fighter Only Magazine- Anderson Silva Slams Vitor's Betrayal' <--- Link
Important part of the article says
"Asked what he thinks about Belfort’s arrival in the UFC middleweight division, he sneered, “Which Vitor is that? The one who trained with me, Rogerio and Rodrigo a few months ago?” and "There isn’t that possibility. I’m Lyoto’s friend, I like him a lot, and I think it’s hard for anyone to beat him. There is no money that will make me fight him."
Now I give him the right to turn down an opponent from outside his weight class if he wants but Anderson sounds like he is getting overly sensitive about this. Basically saying that anyone he has ever trained with is a pile of monkey spunk if they ever challenge him is ridiculous IMO. The guy is taking prize fighting WAY too personally, I appreciate the guys who can put personal relationships aside and fight for 15 minutes. It doesn't mean the other guy has to be your mortal enemy.
What does everyone think, does Silva want too much input on his matchups or am I just an asshat couch coach?
