This isn't really a suggestion for the forums/site in of itself, but I think it would be a good idea to have a venue in which to talk smack to each other during televised MMA matches. Normally, I'd talk to my friend during a fight, but at points I'm basically talking to myself.

There's a couple of options, maybe even some more I'm not aware of. The key should be the ability to moderate users.

IRC: possibly the best option considering you have moderation controls under a registered server. Running a server in of itself isn't exactly hard work, but there are hundreds of public IRC servers out there with free channel registration (I'm an OP for a channel on Gamesurge). You could also work in an IRC Java applet for those who don't feel like installing the application.

IRC does suffer from having harder to learn administrative commands, but banning users is pathetically easy once you learn the syntax (or just cheat by using the GUI on some of the more refined interfaces).

Other than that, I hear AOL has some free chat room programs, but I'd rather not catch herpes by installing AOL products.

Any ideas? Thoughts? "Epic fail" one-liners? BTW: mentioning "Shout Box" will likely result in said poster's spine being ripped out through his/her eye-sockets.
