Why can't I post comments to news stories?

Can't seem to get a reply from any staff so maybe a thread? Why is it that I cannot post comments to News Articles (e.g. Most Awesomely Insane Fedor T-Shirt posted today) yet I have obviously set-up a username so I can post comments/threads?

Even when I am logged in in Forums and navigate to a news item it does not recognize me. When I try to log in to post a comment to a news item it says it does not recognize my username/password. Tried to password look-up tool and it says it does not recognize my username or email... what is the deal? What's a guy gotta do to post some comments around here?
