MMA pet peeves

here are my two biggest MMA pet peeves lately:

1. there's this guy at my gym who wears 4 oz. gloves *no matter what he is doing*. there he is lifting weights in the gloves. there he is on the elliptical still wearing the gloves. there he is trying to pick up some girl unsuccessfully, still wearing the gloves. i have yet to see him do anything related to *using* the gloves, and i can't help but wonder whether he goes home and tells his friends that he did some really difficult mma training that day.

2. when people refer to MMA as "UFC." if you are under 50, there is no excuse for this.
