Rumors are circulating that Phil Baroni has "verbally agreed" to a UFC contract. Why is he suddenly available? Because Strikeforce dropped him. So now the UFC is picking up Strikeforce's scraps? Is this Backwards Day or WTF?

Baroni is shit even by Strikeforce standards. Check out his record: prior to the Riggs loss, he was on a 3-fight win streak... all three of which were nobodies with losing records. Before that, he was on a 3-fight losing streak against Joey Villasenor, Kala Hose, and Frank Shamrock.

"We wish Phil the best of luck and hope he can revive his career,'' Strikeforce Founder and CEO Scott Coker said in a release Thursday. "If he can, maybe one day, he can return and fight for us."

Well thank the baby Jesus the UFC picked up this hot young prospect. Your loss is their gain, Strikeforce! Joke's on you!
